Gluten-Free Steak Kabobs
We love summer-time grilling! These awesome gluten-free steak kabobs are a hit with all who have tried them. One person even said if he were to choose a last meal, he would choose these kabobs! You can also use this recipe for any steak you desire and grill whole – without kabobbing (is that a word?). Pairs well with any potato side or fruit.
Ingredients
- Beef, cut of your choice 4 – 4.5lbs (I use Top Sirloin)
- Mushrooms/veggies of choice (I typically use button mushrooms and onions)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions
For kabobs
- Cut steak into 1 to 1.5″ pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- Cut mushrooms and onions (or whatever veggies you prefer) and place them in a separate medium to large bowl.
- Add oil, soy sauce, steak seasoning, and garlic powder to a separate small bowl. Whisk well.
- Pour 3/4 of the marinade over steak and 1/4 of the marinade over veggies; Stir to fully incorporate.
- Cover and marinate for 2-4 hours.
- Skewer in preferred order.
- Preheat grill on high.
- Place kabobs on grill; turn down the heat to medium and cook for 4 minutes.
- Turn kabobs over and grill an additional 2-3 minutes (depending on your grill type and desired meat temperature – we like our steak medium-rare).
- Remove from grill and serve hot.
For any other beef cuts used as whole rather than kabobs:
- Add oil, soy sauce, steak seasoning, and garlic powder to a small bowl. Whisk well.
- Pour over meat (4-5lbs) in a dish or ziplock bag.
- Marinate 2-4 hours.
- Preheat grill on high.
- Place steak on grill; turn down the heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes.
- Flip steak and grill an additional 5-6 minutes or until the desired temp is reached.
- Remove from grill and serve hot.
